Seasons of Change Guide
When we are moving into new phases of our life, it helps to think of the phases like seasons that naturally occur in our world. We’ll use this guide in coaching sessions to clarify where you want to focus and what may be calling for your attention.
7 types of rest
We often think of rest only as quietly laying in repose. If everything we do requires different kinds of energy then we need different kinds of restoration. Not sure where to start? Spending time in nature can achieve some, if not all, types of rest.
Physical Rest – Engage in sleep or gentle movement such as yoga, stretching, or receiving a massage.
Mental Rest – Calm the mind through meditation, journaling, or other mindful practices.
Sensory Rest – Take a break from screens, noise, and overstimulation.
Creative Rest – Rejuvenate by appreciating nature or engaging with the arts.
Emotional Rest – Create time and space to express feelings openly with a therapist or trusted loved one.
Social Rest – Participate in fulfilling social activities with supportive, positive friends.
Spiritual Rest – Cultivate a sense of belonging, acceptance, and purpose through community, meditation, or prayer.

Find a therapist
Life’s challenges often surface at work but affect every part of us. A clinically licensed therapist can help with these broader issues, yet finding one can feel overwhelming—especially when we’re struggling.
Many psychoanalytic training institutes offer referral services and low-fee therapy. They consider your needs, insurance, location, and availability to match you with the right therapist. That’s how I found mine!
